I prefer to use my own modem to manage everything, so i use my linksys ac1900 to establish a pppoe connection through the hh3000 and therefore the bell hh3000 doesn’t manage any traffic, it just gives my router it’s own external ip and that’s that. I ran an uptime monitor for 24hrs straight and it's been solid ever since. But I know of one Bell subscriber who reports that the Home Hub 4000 gateway modem is the problem when trying to access a web server externally. From what I can tell from experimenting with it, it moves your router into the HH4000’s DMZ or demilitarized zone where it can give the the device, in this case my router an external IP address. Seems there is a bit of a split on this and have some concerns before I make the switch. Finally the Bell wan IP shows in both the admz and the router's wan interface. Note: This bridge mode setup was tested in the Greater Toronto Area for both residential and business Bell customers.
